Almost 10months ago, my horse had sinusitis that was flushed and holes in adjoining cavities were created to aid this. She had a strong course of antibiotics and the condition resolved over the summer.
Now, at the weekend after being exercise there was purulent discharge from "that" side/nostril. I think she may have got a chill from the crazy temperature changes. There was/is no cough, and no further discharge. However when exercised she seems to struggle to breathe again (as was the case before/during/post sinusitis).
I suspect that that side of her sinuses may be more susceptible to infection. Has anyone else experienced similar? Do I ask the vet for antibiotics even though there is no discharge? I have started naf respirator boost which I have had good results with previously.
