Also looks like he has never been trimmed. Toes very long and heels very low. Poor pony :( Some people shouldn't be able to own a horse, Guesssing from the pic there not very well off.

And here's me worrying about doing too much with my girl who is nearly 3 1/2yrs old. Clearly she should be doing advanced dressage by that age. Hope he finds a home to be a baby for a while longer:(

I dont want to buy the pony but am curious as to what would happen about teh passport, would it be a 'dont touch with a bargepole' situation or can you simply apply for a new one?

TBH the seller should be fined for not providing a passport or is that meant to happen.?...a bit like metal theft and scrap dealers..........no punishments.

Its only us mugs that obey the rules! They will get rid of this one and another as she says will be along. ££££££££ .........wonder if the passport system really made a difference?

You should Never judge people! Money or no money some horses are very well looked after doesnt matter if you not got thousands in the bank!! I agree that pony shouldnt be ridden yet, especially by a person that big, but please dont judge people on a photo!!!

Oh dear lord, there is always one! Got a chip on your shoulder?

I myself am a poor riding instructor, i earn a pittance and work bloody hard to pay for my horses and keep them very well thank you. I was not judging them for being poor, i was simply saying that may be why they havent got there horses feet trimmed! Now get off your high horse so to speak

I'd be the first to say that the size of someone's income shouldn't be brought into it.

However, the photo shows a pony with a rider far too heavy for it, and the description says it's only 18 months old. So of course people will "judge". Rightly so.

No i havent got a chip on my shoulder, i am one of the first to look at other peoples horses cause like this one their feet arent trimmed and sometimes they are left in stables for hours with no hay or water.
I am sorry if you took it the wrong way, it wasnt meant to seem that way. I personally hope this pont gets a new home, somewhere where it can mature and have its needs cared for. Not you personally but dont like it when people think cause you dont have loads of money you cant look after horses.
Sorry again :)

Amylou, you'll find there are a few people on this forum who will say those without much money shouldn't have horses (I don't believe that's what was being said here though).

I have a low income and I keep my mare very cheaply, but I believe I give her a good life. I think good animal care is about being responsible and compassionate, not about how much cash you have.

I hate the assumption that cruelty is caused by poverty. In my opinion, that's rarely so. It's my experience that cruelty in the main is caused by ignorance, irresponsibility or deliberate misuse of animals.

I understand why you may have over-reacted. :)
