He looks well built & muscled and clearly in no discomfort so I think rider is fine as long as she is well balanced and can ride!
Horse? Erm 16.1? Maybe some ID in there? 15?

The horse looks to be going well, and appears to have a competant rider on board.
It emphasises the point that light hands and a light seat are far more important to the horse than a light rider.
Is it just me, or are these posts about heavy riders getting tedious now?
I have yet to see a pic on this forum that portrays a rider who is blatently too heavy for the horse...
SN I think the confusion lies in Re: Age/Breed/height of horse and is the rider too big? - Rider too big? And I am sorry to say I am fed up with these posts now as well. I dont know how many times people have to say the same thing before people get bored with posting them. Sorry SN, not having a go, but the subject has been done to death. I would guess the horse may have ID, about 16.2 as for age who knows from the photo it could be anything from 5-20.
Well for all the boring old fogies who don't want to play (admittedly I am often in that group) the horse is Berry, he is 15hh of Heinz 57 breeding - thought to be Welsh D x CB. He's 10 in the pic - pic taken well before either of us had ever had a lesson. I know damned well I wasn't too big for him then - but the pic could beg to differ, but I am wearing full length cow hide (1000 times thicker than suede) chaps and several layers on top - we were on the way to the beach and it was a FREEZING December morning.
Lovely horse - all those layers makes me look forward to riding on cold frosty mornings wrapped up with scarf and gloves!! Am I mad?!
Lucky you, hacking across a moor like landscape to get to the beach - looks idyllic.

What are you after? Brownie points or something more? Thank you though

I know I love being out riding on crispy mornings! It was idyllic - that was 12/13yrs ago though. Don't live anywhere near there now

Why would I be after anything??
And I certainly don't require brownie points from anybody.

It was said tongue in cheek!! As in I'll send you the tenner later - did NOT mean to offend!
