Age to drive van sized horsebox - Urgent!

What age / length of time driving do you have to be to be able to drive one of those horse boxes that are vans???

If it is less than 3.5Ton then you can drive it on a normal 'car' licence so effectively from 17yrs old.

Not sure if you are buying one or borrowing one - but make sure you check your insurance before you do either, as a lot of companies will not insure a horsebox for anyone under 25 to drive without upping the premium a hefty amount.

It all depends on weight and it is the weight loaded and what is indicated on your driving licence.

am I right in saying you still need the certificate of compentcy if transporting any stock now? regardless of if its in a tralier or a van....

think thats about £100 to do now...
