Help me please!!! Before I murder my pony & myself! Have been posting in CR about this as well

Okay, so its not quite that desperate yet but it feels like it

Started doing dressage with D in a loose ring jointed snaffle, and found she doesnt really like to soften into it, she will but you really do need to argue and push and fiddle and bug her before she'll do it..
Last week, we were jumping in my dutch gag (not on the bottom ring, just one below the big snaffle ring) and she was so much more willing to soften and come forward into the hand instead of arguing.

I need a similar acting bit, thats dressage legal.. but can't find anything

Was planning on a wilkie/loop ring snaffle but neither are legal! Bugger!
I'm going to try a hanging cheek snaffle on her this week & see how far I get in that..
Help!

i was going to suggest a hanging cheek

what mouthpeice do you use??

Its a jointed one, not a french link or anything.

She goes in a happy mouth or a metal one.. makes no odds to her.

Think the hanging cheek with the same mouth piece as your 3 ring would be a good starting point!

My daughters pony is sometimes ridden in a waterford 3 ring gag and we have found the hanging cheek snaffle to be fine for when she does dressage/schooling.

I'm lucky in the sense she doesnt try to murder me in one.. just ignores it. little cow!
