Long shot but does/has anyone been to the above winter season shows at Kingswood Equestrian outside Wolverhampton?

Still dithering about whether to enter or not, the key question being 'are the rings enclosed?' just in case she blows her top and goes sprinting round and round the ring. :o

The elementary classes sound very forgiving and I'm reassured by the results of previous shows (half the elementary dogs eliminated, we won't be alone then :D).

Meant to be canix-ing next month but there's no scooter class at Cannock now and as I have come down with flu I'm currently out of breath just going up the stairs. :( Plus Ricoh is still full of snot and hasn't had a run for a couple of weeks either. Trying to come up with alternative forms of entertainment for madam that don't involve me hauling ass around 5k of wet forest tracks...

If it's like the indoor shows I've been to the rings are just roped off, there aren't that many in my experience that have fully fenced rings usually just ropes or tape.

She wouldn't be the only one to go zooming round :p

If no one else on here knows I'll ask my instructor tomorrow, she will :D

I'd go for it

If you could ask for me that would be great. :) It sounds like quite a popular show, no pre-registering/measuring or anything like that and lots more fun classes than KC and similar, was hoping someone on here would have been to one before.

Even that flimsy orange plastic stuff would be better than a rope around the ring, I'll be too busy panicking about her doing a runner to concentrate on what we're actually doing. :o
