Hurrah! I think I have reattached my *ahem*'s finally. I had a lot of fallings off over winter and spring and bought a special horse to sort me out. We had a falling out the first weekend I got her but she is now frickin awesome and so I have been doing a lot with her. She is not easy to ride but I trust her immensely. Due to this, I have actually been riding the other nutters a bit recently and been much braver. I did give one to my friend for the remainder of the summer as I am trying to concentrate on the one I'm trying to sell but I was even too scared to ride her at one point and she is as good as gold! I have only fallen off her once and that was due to a difference of opinion as to direction and my fault entirely so I shouldn't be such a baby.
I think the turning point came today when I rode said mare-to-be-sold on a lovely hack with my friend and when she started cantering when I wanted to trot (horse not friend), instead of coming back to walk and mentally duffing myself up, I actually carried on and insisted that she trot instead. I think she was pleased with that too because she was an angel for the majority of the ride! Ah, phew I have now had a decent shot of "man-up" so I'm almost back to normal.
Thank you La Cuatro! xx
