My boy going really well around 1 month ago and due to time and work i was hardly riding him. Hes turned out 24/7 over summer so i wasnt too concerned that he wasnt stretching his legs enough. He's usually very laid back and needs a bit off leg.
Iv started to work him again (not too hard as unfit) but he just seem's like a different horse. Lots of energy and really forward. While i dont mind this, he's realy soft mouthed and i feel like im pulling him too much.
Took him up the field for a short hack last week and on the both occasions, on the way home he decided to bronk.
Im a experienced rider so im not too phased just a bit upset that all my hard work seem's to have now gone and im back to square one!!
Today seemed alot better after i dropped my whip but i do like to carry it to back my leg up.
Im going to get his back checked next week even though i really dont think its that and hes not long had his teeth done so i dont think it could be them bothering him either.
Would you guys just take him back to basics again or just try and ride him through his little fits?
