Ok with not being at work and riding in the day Pidge is now tucked up in bed by 6pm and I get to yard about 8.30am in the morning (normally 8pm and 7am). However this is great for me or so I thought until I have been taking a good 2 wheelbarrows of muck out of his bed - normally one! Not only is he treading his poo everywhere but he is pooing and weeing at the front of the box and treading his haylage all over the bed

Is there a quick way to get haylage bits out of shavings as at the mo I am picking them out by hand but getting fed up so getting through loads of shavings

Well if you think about it, he's 'tucked up in bed' for a very long time - erm, 14.5 hours if my maths is correct - and therefore his bed is bound to be a bit messy! I expect he is walking round a bit, in that time (I don't think I could stand completely still for so many hours, could you?) and will need to wee and poo.
So far as his haylege is concerned, the only answer I think is to change to straw, and then it won't matter so much.
I don't mean to sound unhelpful, but it's a winter thing really. It's the same for me.

Mm straw is tempting but he adores straw and takes every opportunity to roll and rearrange to his hearts content

left him in someone's box at first yard whilst waiting for vet (I had no box) and in the space of 5 mins he trashed it

Went up normal time this morning 7am and the box was as normal one barrow out all done so think he must trapse round in the morning waiting for breakfast when we go up later.
I do have an OCD when it comes to Piglets bed mind

I don't have to get every bit of wee, poo and haylage out of his bed

I find the same thing in the winter. My YO turns her out in the morning but she doesnt go out until about 9am. She gets fed at around 7.30am and then put in a spare box with hay so she doesnt mess her bed up. On the odd occasion he's left her in her box its been horrible to muck out, ive had to take out twice as much. That extra hour makes all the difference, sorry but the only solution is to get there early.

Yep I agree get there early, hard as it is on your day off.

I have the same problem Jasper urinates on 3/4 of his bed and poos on the rest then tramples it all in, he has to have a new bed every morning its costing me a fortune in shavings!

Perhaps I should get there early too..........
