Ahahahahahaha!

Yea, good dog, he was just doing his job, but like most of us it's doesn't was anywhere that he can't enjoy it!!!! Go Zak, we can't stick em in stocks any more but some teeth marks pain and a bit of humiliation can't go amiss!!!

It would seem to me, that both the criminal and the dog received there just deserts.

It does however raise the question, that I wonder what would have happened, if on private land, a privately owned dog had taken such action. I suspect that the handler would have been liable. I'd be happy to chance it! :)

Alec.

Good on Zak, and good for the judge, nice to hear a judge with the right attitude.
Think you are probably right Alec, if one of my dogs had bitten someone defending my property they would probably have been in trouble.

Well if i'd heard the scroat that nicked a bike out of my garden on monday morning, i'd have released the hounds - Pads would have got stuck in i'm sure :D Nice thought, but in reality, he and I would probably be in trouble for defending our property

Good lad Zak!

I think they are actually trying to bring in more enforcement on that issue :(
Fine if your dogs bite someone unwarranted on your property, but crims will have a field day in the courts :(

MR, on a police blog the dogs are often referred to as 'furry Exocets' :p

lol "like" :D
sisters GSD went to great lengths to stop the binmen on a wednesday morning in Uk a few years ago. Ran upsatirs, jumped through the landing window(smashing the frame and glass) onto the outhouse roof and down onto ground leval in front of said binman....whod jumped into neighbors garden thinking he was safe...until "wolf" a retired raf dog came out of his kennel:eek::p sadly owners were in garden to prevent a mauling but certainly gave the neighbors something to think about:cool:
