OMGOMGOMG!!!

I just booked my first riding lesson in over 5 years!!!

and put my name down to rescue some ex battery chickens.

Blimey im so nervous, the horse is going to hate me lol, i'll be like a sack!!!

so excited though, kicking myself into action. yay!!!

Well done.. and also excellent news about the battery chickens. I would love to have a couple but think 2 staffies + chooks is not a good idea..!

Get a fence! The piccy on my avatar is my labs on the day that our ex batts arrived. (Probably too small to see properly!)

Lol, we have 9 working dogs!!!

The lady said they need to be kept in a confined space for a few weeks and then introduced slowly to the world of free space and grass!

plenty of time to get the dogs used to them!!!

Honestly, i feel so good that were helping them. I was just going to nip down to the local auction and get a few, but this is far far better.

Nope. I'm still preparing, waiting for a bit of money and then she'll be here!!! But whilst she is still with her owner its giving me time to research, talk to people, get lessons.
And her owner is doing loads of lunging with tack, and getting her further along for me.

I cant wait though. But everything has to be right before she gets here, no surprises or 'oh crap we forgot that' moments. dead excited though.

Good luck hope you enjoy as much as I did - after a move to country and doing a few riding lessons (beginning of 2010) then getting involved with helping someone which all went pear shaped (long story see previous posts from me) I'm now proud owner of a gorgeous TB and a 2 year old New Forest - can't imagine life without them now  (only year ago didn't have any).
