ai costs..

i had a fab service from hvl stud in ireland last year, no collection and they paid postage, had 3 callouts with scans, cost me £170 in total for her, also jph didnt charge for collection or postage! but cost £700 to ai and mare didnt take!!!
 
I paid £50 for collection of semen,transport and stallion owner ai'd mare..think my total ai costs with scans etc was about £400..although the mare in question was being funny with her seasons etc..
 
For chilled semen, the stud where my boy stands charge £75 for collection, analysis, preparation, packaging etc, plus postage at cost (usually about £15 - £20).

But his stud fee is only payable 2 weeks after the birth of a live, healthy foal. No deposit, nothing on October 1st, nothing until the breeder has a 2-week-old healthy foal. :)
 
We charge £75 plus postage which is now just short of £22 plus vat.
Despite the fact we send out return address labels quite a few boxes just don't come back and they are £15 each to buy
 
Depends on which stallion but my costs for fresh chilled semen have varied from $150 - $300 per collection. $100 - $200 per shipping. $40 per equitainer. There is one place who does AI packages and they charge $700 plus $25 per day keep and they are 3 hours drive each way, so gas to get to and fro mounts up. Mostly we pay per procedure and scans are usually $60 each, each insemination per mare $150 - $200, callout charges extra.
 
We charge £100 for collection and postage guaranteed delivery by 9am following day Stud fee on top. Covering here for visiting mares or my own average cost for initial scan, scan and cover jab off etc, PD at 15 days and heartbeat at 25 days costs approx £250.00 for chilled. We managed two frozen last year at less than £450 which was very good but we do have a very good AI vet.
