Anyone else thought about what they want to achieve in 2010 yet??

Think I'm a bit ahead of the game but I guess I want to start the New Year early (Not enjoyed 2009 in the slightest - more than ready for a new start!)

For Danny, I want to:
- start by getting his saddles sorted out
- work on making him far more balanced & happy
- teach him to hack out happily & calmly (started this! We got over the bridge over the motorway yesterday!!

)
- By the end of the year be doing well at Novice level dressage
- Be confident jumping at least 2'6 showjumping
- Have a go & be able to jump a variety of XC fences, including drops, ditches & skinny fences up to 2'6 ish (he has a major ditch phobia!)

Sounds like quite a bit but I think we can manage it

He needs plenty to do or he gets bored!

And I want to work on being more balanced, fitter - the treadmill is my best friend

, and more positive! And trying more stuff rather than being a wimp

Also taking my BHS Owners Certificate Stage 1 in February & hoping to my Stage 1 once I finish school!

*is all eager to get started*
Anyone else got any plans or aims then??

I want to go to some shows in the summer (jumping and hopefully dressage) went to some this summer just gone for the first time and cant wait to get out again next year.
Work on his dressage so we can have another go at that, still have weekly lessons.
Later on in the year start to back the youngster

I'm not going to tempt fate by even thinking about what i want to achieve next year, i just hope that mine are all safe, sound, and happy and we all get to have lots of fun throughout the year!!

Firstly keep all 5 ponies fit and sound

Then show them all successfully again. It's Elspeth's final season in baby classes as she will be 3 in 2010

And I can't wait to get Ebony in the showring, I've only had her since June and not shown her yet cos she was in too poor condition when I got her

She looks a lot better now, she will be 26 in 2010 so really looking forward to doing veteran showing with her

My aims are:
Colin-Start eventing BE, BYEH 5yo classes
Murphy-Get control and some decent placings at intermediate, hopefully a 2*
Jem- havn't decided yet, i'll either sell her if the right home comes along, or event her, hopefully she can be going Novice by the end of the season
Millie- have a healthy foal, and be a good mummy!
Pippa- no aims really just have fun, take her to the odd showjumping and hunter trial.

- To compete my youngster in some small riding club SJ classes
- To get my pony out and competing more and hopefully become part of one of the Riding Club teams.

Complete and not disgrace ourselves in the BE and BYEH 5yr old classes.

To get our BN and hopefully Diso double clears.

To have a horse that is happy in her job, and hopefully have friends that all have highly successful seasons too!
