They are part of SEIB I think so I would try them. They should be able to help.

Sorry to hear about that Boe, may I ask why you had trouble with them? please feel free to PM me if you don't want your details open to view by the public...

I have known several people use them and have never had a problem claiming so I'm interested to know why you had problems...

I am with Aims and have never had any problems with them at all. I have made numerous claims. However, I am going to check their number now that you say it doesn't work any more. Don't want to be left high and dry!

That's interesting you've never had a problem either Wagtail.. Once you've tried the number you have please could you let me know if you got through? Maybe the number I found on a website has expired and they have a different one..

AIMS have been FANTASTIC with Dexters illness, paid out promptly on an extremely complex claim that ran to the max in both time and money. For a budget policy, they are hard to beat BUT i wish they had an online presence.
They advertise every week in H&H and were there last week when they paid yet another bill to the vet and were on the phone an hour agao when OH moved his over from NFU (we've had enough of NFU's new equine first claims dept) I dont have the number to hand but will add it to the post later :)

They dont have a website..there is an agricultural ins company called AIMS too so perhaps thats confusing the issue? the horse ins AIMS is now owned by SEIB FWIW

I've been with AIMs for my 2 horses for nearly 2 years now.
I've had 2 claims with them, and Im very happy!

Don't think I'll be changing any time soon!

I have their number in my diary as 01708 850098, but I havent had to use it in the past 6 months.

I've been with them for four years now, thankfully never had to make a claim as yet but I've always found the admin side of things very good and very prompt and helpful, although my policy was arrange through Julie Andrews Horse Insurnace Brokers.

its a long story nn, suffice to say that at a very sad time i found them very disrespectful and they tried everything not to pay out for my boy, even with the help of my vet they still didnt, my vets told me it was not the first time they had had probs with them, but it was few years ago, perhaps they are different now, it was a personal opinion from me, not one to cause you worry, i suppose it happens with all insurance company,s at some point.

Hi, just to let everyone know the number malibooth gave is right!!! the number of HH is wrong..

Thanks Malibooth!!! I was getting a bit worried then. Panic over!!!!

:D

I have been looking for insurance and dont seem to be getting very far. I only want third party and "real emergency " vet cover. I have 5 ponies and just want to cover life and death type stuff but I am struggling to find one that has a flexible enough excess to help keep the price down. I would be happy with an excess of 1000 . I dont want to have to make a treatment decision dependent on finances and am trying to develop a bigger slush fund.
