Aintree grooms accomodation

Hello, my daughter has qualified for the BS Amateur Championships in November at Aintree. The lorry will get us and horse there but is not fit to live in for one, never mind six nights! We're currently looking at different options and I know the accommodation is quickly sold out ! Does anyone know what it is like and what the cost is if we're lucky enough to get in.......If not, would they mind if we parked a self sufficient camper next to our lorry for the duration which is next option? We are a bit excited, its a long time since she qualified for anything serious and we are a very long way away!

It will be the racing accommodation. I've not stayed there myself but it will be basic bed, wee table and a tv if your lucky. But it will be warm and safe and somewhere to put your head for the night!

I have no idea how much they charge to you normals! I only know racing fees 😂😂😂
 
The jockeys' lodge is extremely basic. Personally I stayed in the perfectly pleasant hotel at the front gate. You could ask the course manager about parking your camper van.
 
We go up there for the ROR champs and stay in our lorry but the accommodation is fine and not expensive from memory. There is a premier inn at the entrance which some people stay in. There is a Toby carvery again at the entrance so 5 mins walk from lorry park. There is also decent fairly cheap cafe at the arena. Stabling is awesome. A long walk though for the non riders from stabling to arena.
 
The boss plugged her campervan in at Aintree in 2017 ... the year we won the National ... So it should be perfectly possible at any other competition there 😂😂😂
 
The groom's accommodation has four beds to a room. Basic but really convenient as just in front of both stable yards. I do however have terrible memories of loudly banging doors throughout the night!! There's also hook up points just outside or the Premier inn by the front gates and we have camped down the bottom of the car parking area too. As someone has said above, they are super helpful at Aintree.
 
The Premier Inn have hiked their prices up to £100 ish for the nights of the Amateur Champioships! I have a room reserved but I am not sure we will go..
 
Thanks for the advice - we now have a couple of plans - grooms accommodation first option, cabins which organisers are planning to bring in if required and then possibly a camper van.It' like a big adventure for us!!
