Aintree starts

Has anyone got an update on Mr. Vango? I have followed the Bradstock horses for years - first with Mark and now with Sarah.

Mr. Vango has been a favourite but I feel that with his form this year that perhaps it was time to retire him - he no longer looked like he was enjoying racing. I just wish they hadn't run him in the National.
According to Racing TV, he was taken to Leahurst Equine Hospitel on Saturday evening. He has a small avulsion fracture in his neck but according to Bradstock, it is nowhere near the vertabrae of his neck and they are hopeful he will make a full recovery.

Agree it looked like hed fallen out of love with it, but feels like they've been desperate to run him in the national for ages unfortunately

Hopefully he will be fine and can now have a lovely retirement

Seeing Hewick continue to be flogged isnt nice either

I said potentially libellous and this portion of what TP wrote is.
I take it that you do not have any legal training 🙄.

Did Golden Dancer stay on his feet after sustaining a fatal injury in the race? Yes.

Did Paul Townend, far from pulling him up after the horse went splat which ought to happen if equine welfare was the top priority, in fact continue to drive the horse to the finish by whipping the fatally injured horse? Yes.

I am far from alone in believing that such an experienced jockey was unable to tell that the horse was seriously injured and needed to be pulled up.

It is my opinion that any and all who derive pleasure from watching horses being driven to and beyond their limits are sick. That is just my opinion, it does not libel anyone.

Also according to Racing TV

'And Bradstock is optimistic the fall might not be the final act of her strapping chaser’s career.
She added: “There’s every chance he will be back next season, but there is a chip off the wing of his vertebrae so that has got to land in the right place."'
