Can someone help I’m not sure if this is rlly obviously but it’s frying my brain!
So we have qualified for the ACE championships at Aintree at the end of May, so it states that the horse needs 6 monthly flu vac to stable there, now my question is how do I get my horse onto a 6 monthly vaccination as I don’t have 6 months.
His last flu booster was March this year and he has been yearly.
This is what the website says, so do I need another vac in January then another one before we go? I am so confused!

I think you only need the vaccination within the previous 6 months rather than being on 6 monthly, so just need the next booster. For racehorses they have to be on the 6 monthly pattern since I think last January but I think just within 6 months for other competing. Aintree are brilliantly helpful and will confirm for you. Well done and good luck.

Ahhhh okay I’m with you so as long as they have had a the flu vac in the last 6 months? I may pop them an email, thank you very much!

As long as he's had a jab within 6 months prior to attending your fine

Don't forget also - it's a leap year. Your booster has to be within 365 days of previous!
