Air Jacket and BETA

I am thinking seriously about buying one of the air jackets, the thought being that it may help prevent me from a (serious) previous injury ocurring again.
I am wondering if I should wait until it is BETA approved...what does this in effect mean? I wonder if they might adjust the product as a result of the approval process? In which case I would want to wait until that stage, not sure how long this will take though....
Does anyone have any more info about this? Would be very grateful....

As far as I am aware at the moment you still need to wear a body protector with an air jacket. When it gets approved by BETA you should be able to wear it without a body protector. I do not think they will change the design. I am not 100% sure on this so it is best to do some research. Not sure if this is any help?!

I don't really want to have to use another body protector TBH....will wait and see what happens with BETA approval and I will almost certainly buy one anyway

Daughter has an Exo cage thingy: it offers a ton of protection
