Hi all,
I am hoping you can shed some light on this matter for me.
I have heard and seen all the wonderful things the Hit Air and the Point Twostyle of air jackets do – as they inflate whilst you are falling off. But foreventing, a competitor must still wear the hard body protector underneath it.

However whilst chatting at a show I heardthat there is a new release of this style of jacket which has the harder bodyprotector built into it, yet it still inflates – so that you only have to wearone jacket.
I have not managed to find this style ofjacket online anywhere – and I am not sure if they have actually been releasedyet.
Has anyone else heard or seen of this newstyle of inflatable jacket?
I wouldlove to hear any additional information.
Thanks somuch!!

Point two have one combined with a racesafe body protector. I can't link to it as for some reason my work have blocked access to the point two website!

ETA: cross-posted with above!

Oh great thankyou so much.
Do you know if this is then allowed for an affiliated eventing competition?
As in - are you allowed to compete wearing only this jacket?

Yes I think you are Ok affiliated eventing because again I think the BP part is to required standard but the problem will be if (heaven forbid) you take a fall AND want to get back on and continue. In theory, if you had a fall with the two jackets you would be able to take the air jacket off and continue with the "normal" BP on (which is the actual minimum standard ) but if you have both combined, once inflated the combined jacket is useless until you have replaced cannister, and so you would have to retire. Not sure whether, to you, that would be a big negative but worth bearing in mind....

When using an inflatable body protector make quite sure that you buy the geunine manufactures compressed air canisters and under no circumstances buy other ones. Always have a couple of spare ones just in case it is accidentally set off.
