Hi there Can't be only person to have read Laura Collett's comments that her air jacket probably saved her life? OK I'm never going eventing but even hacking or low level RC competition has it's risks. Have reached age when you don't bounce as well & have in fact fallen recently when an air jacket would have saved ribs & chest from a nasty & painful bashing. So it is a lot of money to spend which is why this post is up. I need your experience & opinions to choose between a Point 2 & a Hit Air? All comments gratefully received - many thanks in advance:)

Hi, I have a point 2, which I tested out at a Xc clinic the first time I rode in it! It was like I fell into a load of sponges!. I had no whiplash or bruising. One thing I will say though it to make sure that you wear a body protector underneath it as it does inflate with quite a force. I love it and wouldn't be without it x

i have just bought Point 2 and not tested it yet....touch wood! i liked it as i thought it offered more coverage than the hit air. i was surprised when i tried one on as i have seen a lot of reviews saying it flaps about when riding - not true ime and also some people saying it was uncomfortable when inflated, mine was fitted in the shop and i was inflates in it, yes it was firm but certainly not uncomfortable at all

I have a Point 2 and came off out hacking last summer. I was bucked off into a tree and hit the point of my shoulder which resulted in a chip of bone coming away and a crack and also ligament damage. However, the surgeon was very impressed that my collar bone was still in one piece and I had no whiplash or bruising anywhere else!

I love it and won't hack out without it.
