Whats the latest research info on air jackets? Which offers the best protection for every day use. Needs to be comfortable to wear and easy to service if I forget to unclip it.
I love the HIt Air because it covers the coccyx and ribs better. I honestly don't know about latest research.
I don't think it does. My P2 is at least as long as a Hit Air and although the airbag configuration is different they both protect the ribs. Because of the different way they inflate, the P2 does not need actual airbag cover to provide protection. The Hit Air has an unprotected spot right at the bottom of the neck at the back that I don't like at all.
.

Not the best quality video but should give you an idea. I prefer the neck protection of the HitAir
The gap at the back of the neck is a safety feature:

The HitAir is already partially deflated in the video. See the photo posted earlier to show what it really looks like.
The P2 doesn't have any neck protection, for comparison, so as it stops at the base of the neck, surely that fence rail will hit you there ?
And I think you should get royalties from Point2 since you always come leaping to that brand's honour every time![]()
Clearly the HitAir was inflated before as you don't hear the bang so of course it's let more air out.
And that's a lovely slot at the base of the neck for the fence rail to nicely fall into in the Point2. Looks inviting!![]()
No I don't. The P2 ends at the base of the neck. No protection for your neck either from a pole or your neck bending back. You have the brands round the wrong way I think

Off you go and collect your royalties![]()

So if you fall face down , that fence rail will nicely go over the top edge of the P2 and into your neck.
Then this child is wearing the wrong size by the looks of it.
Well given that it's blown up on camera, you see and hear them pull the cord , maybe there's something wrong with it.
All images I've seen on Google do show a gap between top of vest and hat when blown up BTW- ideal for a heavy object to fall or roll into.
It doesn't need to be replaced at 3 years stop going on about this. I had mine serviced and it was way older than that.Well it's a good job we can all make our own choices.
I recommend the OP try the 3 main types, P2 standard, P2 gilet and Hit Air and choose the one she thinks will best suit her needs, provided she can afford the £450 replacement at 3 years if she goes Hit Air.
