I have a Helite zip in air vest. Great, Very light to wear. However the weather is getting colder and soon it will be too cold not wear a coat. Getting away with several layers at the mo. It won’t fit over a coat. What does everyone with one of these do in winter? I don’t fancy spending £££ on the jacket that you can zip it into if I don’t have to.

Yes something like an equidry or reincoat or similar, Le Mieux have just brought out their own version too x

As others have said. I’ve had an Helite for years and have a fairly loose coat on top. Not zipped if it has Velcro fastenings

Can you not just wear over the top of a coat? Interested as considering buying one.
No it’s quite fitted. It’s a zip in air vest. There are the other types that will fit over a bp etc. I’m actually thinking of investing in the soft shell outer that it zips into. I can’t ride in anything like an Equidry and and even it jacket is v loose still no guarantee it will allow the vest to inflate properly.

HitAir sell extension fastenings, don’t know if they would work on Helite? You just clip into the existing fasteners rather like girth extenders work.

Thanks, goid to know. I've only just starting looking into air vests as thinking of getting one.
