Hi H & H People, I am flying to France later this week for a riding holiday. I have just rung the airline and got absolutely no sense out of their help desk. So, rather than have my Hit Air confiscated at security can I take the gas canister out and just put a new one in when I get over to France leaving my original canister at home to be used when I get back. Any advice greatly appreciated.😀

Riders had them in Rio so you must be able to fly them out. Not sure if they will let you take it in hand luggage but you may be allowed if it goes in the hold luggage. Surely it is the same as a can of deodorant?!

I would imagine so, it's just the compressed gas that is the issue, not the actual jacket

Hi. I take the canister out and just buy one when I'm there. Some airlines won't take the canister at all and some will if you 'book' it in advance. It's just easier not to take it. Hope you have a good trip 😆

Brilliant, thank you! You seem to be the only person who knows. Thanks also for the good trip wishes - I am going over to ride a 5 year old mare that I bred and exported as a 2 year old, so really excited.
