Albert Zoer has broken his leg

As reported on www.galop.be .... This morning he was riding a 7 year old when his leg crashed against a pole and broke it. Such a shame after his unbelieveable form at Aachen, jumping the only double clear in the NC with Oki Doki, and winning the GP with Sam.

Oh that's a shame, I saw him ride in Aachen, and he was outstanding.

Oh NO!!Only this morning I looked up Oki Doki on youtube as had not seen him before and wanted to see what all the fuss was about...and wow, what an exceptional combination they are. So sad for Albert and Oki.

better him than the horse i guess, awful as it is to say it. hope he recovers quickly.

wouldnt rule him out quite yet showjumping is the last discipline to run so he has got six weeks and broken leg can range from a mere crack to plaster casts and pins so i will remain hopeful a while longer. it is my favourite showjump horse and he is a real gentleman.

Hannah Paul won European medals on ponies within weeks of shattering one of her legs, although Albert is a few years older I suppose. You know how it is, the older you get and all that. Fingers crossed, they will be back competing again soon. Oki always makes me smile.

That will be a shame for the Dutch team if he cannot compete as they are still not sure about Jeroen Dubbeldam after he broke his leg, as he was supposed to be at Aachen and pulled out as he is not yet right.
