Have any of you got an Albion bridle with a normal flash or cavasson noseband (not crank) that you could measure for me? I had an Albion bridle for Christmas but the crank noseband is too small (around his nose, not over the head) although my Stubben and Heritage bridles (normal flash nosebands) fit perfectly with room to spare.

Is it that Albion nosebands come up small or just the crank nosebands? I don't want to order a normal flash in case that's too small too.

Thank you.

Hi there,

I'm just selling my flash noseband on E-bay LOL! Measurements for a full size one are below:

Actual measurements are:
Noseband width is 20mm
Cheekstraps are 9 inches /22cm from edge of noseband to buckle
Circumfrance of noseband is 20 inches / 51cms excluding the buckle strap
Total circumfrance of noseband up to end of the buckle strap is 27 1/2 inches / 70cms
Buckle size on the cheekstraps is 20mm

Hope this helps! :)

You're welcome!

Mine's a full size and fitted my TB well, some full sizes (ie sabre) have been too large on the cheekpieces but this has fitted well. I think they do an ex-large too. Best tip would be to give the National Saddle Centre a call/e-mail plus they have all the component parts measurements on their website - just google it and you will find it.

:)

the Albion nosebands do come up very small.

My tb has one with a normal cavesson and she usually wears a cob noseband about 1/2 way done up whereas I struggled for the first few weeks to get the Albion to do up on the first hole!
