I haven't got one but a friend at the yard has (KB one). As I was interested as well I had a look at it. It looks really smart and the quality of the leather is really good. I think the sizes must go up quite big as this particular horse is about 17.1hh with an equally big head!
, that said I had a good quality Jeffries before, and liked that equally as much - went for the Albion kb for the padding on the poll. I would say they come up big, mine is an XL and is on the highest holes for almost all straps on my ID 17.1 chap
I had the Abion KB Snaffle, it was lovely but very chunky! It came up quite big all over except the noseband which was smaller/ tighter! I replaced it with an Elevator which I much prefer
I have just got one. I got the 1" noseband instead of the 1.5" and it looks much less chunky. It's lovely, and soo light and comfortable for them around the ears and poll.
Ive got one and I love it. In fact I now want the double bridle version so am saving hard. Size wise I would say they are a little generous. Gen has a pretty good size bonce and he is the full size.
can anybody post any measurements of a full size and an extra full size please?
e.g length of cheeks
headpiece
round noseband
noseband overhead etc.
ta very much
I have a snaffle kb. i bought it for the soft leather as my horses skin is extremely sensitive. It is lovely but I think they come up small. My horse is 16.2 and had a full size normal bridle althought the nosebands were tight., but she is in an Xl in the albion and it fits her really well. I think they may call it the warmblood version. Got mine off ebay! They do come up from time to time and go for reasonable money. I think if a standard full size fits very comfortably on your horse then probably a full size would do but if the standard full is a bit tight then go for XL.
I have the comfort snaffle and the double (bought it brand new from ebay for a great price). I love them both. The leather is lovely quality. I have it on a 16.3hh and bought the WB size which fits her perfectly
