Random but! Any one use an albion on light/ medium cob? Have been offered one second hand and seems to fit but sits slightly high in front(she has no withers) dont want to call out saddler if its a non starter. Wide fit.
I dont personally like Albions, but regardless, I dont think the tree fits cobs very well. They are designed for horses with a bit of a wither.
If it is sitting too high in front, it is definitely too narrow. It will be placing pressure points on her back and will be putting too much pressure in the cantle.
You would be better off getting a saddler to bring a range of saddles for you to try, so that you can fnd the one that fits your cob the best. Otherwise you could look into an adjustable saddle (such as a Saddle Company or Kieffer) but again it is preferable to have a fitter to come out and check that it fits correctly. Otherwise you could end up with a horse with a knackered back and a useless saddle.
