So im finally taking the plunge and looking to buy my horse another saddle(second hand) the same two options keep cropping up in my budget.. Albion K2 dressage and Albion SLK dressage, can anyone tell me the difference between the two from experience ? what they are like to ride in? Ultimately it will be the fit that will determine the decision but im going round in circles with this.. My horse currently has the k2 gp (really not a fan of gp's though, but the Albion seems to fit her well) Thanks!

I’ve had both on different horses and I wouldn’t say they felt much different to ride in. It was more about how they fit the horse. The SLK I had on a horse with a more curved spine. The k2 is in one with a more standard type back shape I’d say.

My k2 has a curved tree when I spoke with someone they said both the SLK and K2 were good for this, im struggling to see the difference between the two, the SLK is always a couple of hundred more but im not sure why, perhaps a newer model im not sure...i think im just going to have to trial a few!

Saddle fitter thinks both could be an option due to the shaped tree, shes in a k2 gp now so 'on paper' the k2 dressage should fit, the slk and k2 DR i have seen online are not with my saddler and im unlikely to be able to try them both during the same week and so I just wondered if anyone had feedback on them either
