I am looking for a saddle to fit my 16.2 tb type he is now 16 and has dropped away behind withers, he has however big shoulders. After trying many saddles we have come up with either a Albion K2 jump 17.5" med or a Ideal Gazelle 17.5" med. As with all things equestrian a new one is beyond my price range and 2nd hand are difficult to find.
I have found an old Albion Style which fits and is balanced and reasonably priced at £299. Unfortunately it's black, which I am not keen on and more importantly I feel my lower leg position is too far back and the seat is too deep. I will only use it for hunting and maybe a bit of xc so need to feel secure and need a secure lower leg.
Any ideas/alternatives to the Albion/Ideal solution.
