Have been considering getting one of these for the new season, but checking back on previous posts a number of comments have said that this saddle is not really suitable for long legged riders!
How long is long legged 33-34" inside leg??
Are these saddles for the short of arse only?
Comments? Experiences?
Thanks in advance

We have one of these on the Fjord (yes I know not exactly a jumping pony but the knee rolls are great for my Novice Mum). I’m 5ft7 with a 31” inside leg, and I find the saddle perfect, better when riding short obviously. I have to say it is one of the most comfortable saddles I have ever sat on, really holds you in. I’m definitely a fan. Not sure if that helps?!

I have an albion K2 and its due to my long leg length. the saddle said due to my leg length (33 inch) i would need to look at certain makes of saddle and he recommended the K2 event saddle. there is alot of leg room and I know a friend who is about 6ft 3 who has the same make of saddle for all this horses. Until uve tried one out I wouldnt rule it out - its certainly not just for shorter legged people.

I find it too small for me at jumping length - i'm 33" inside leg. It's lovely for hacking though. I have an albion legend xc which fits me better

Love Albions but the K2 is no good for me - I have a Legend XC jumping saddle and it is great. I'm 5'6'' but have long legs for my height with most of it between hip and knee. Have had 2 for different horses and they are very secure and really forward cut. Would recommend it rather than a K2 which is definetely not as forward cut - I think of it more like a GP cut than jumping.

Just depends on you and your horse though - you may need to try a few different saddles. I have one horse that just doesn't suit Albion's at all - ended up with an excelle which fitted him far better.

i have the K2 jump. i'm 5ft7 with a 31-32" inside leg. i find it fab although have to say it's got the hardest seat i've ever sat in. i cant hack out without a seat saver.

soupdragon - are you def thinking of the K2 jump because there's no way it's anything like a GP - it has massive knee and thigh rolls and is a real jumping saddle, not cut anything like a GP. The normal K2 is, but the K2 jump is totally different.

I WAS TOLD IT WAS A K2 JUMP - JUST GOING BY WHAT MY SADDLER TOLD ME. SHE KNEW I WANTED A JUMP SADDLE AND NOT A GP. MY KNEES WERE HANGING OVER THE KNEE ROLLS BUT I HAVE THAT PROBLEM WITH A LOT OF SADDLES! I HAVE WEIRD LEGS

I HAD A LEGEND XC BEFORE SO WHEN I TRIED THE NEWER VERSION WAS HAPPY. A FRIEND HAS THE K2 JUMP AND SHE IS TALLER THAN ME AND LIKES IT BUT I STILL THINK THAT HER KNEE IS TO FAR OVER THE KNEE ROLLS. SHE'S HAPPY THOUGH AND DOING BETTER THAN ME AT THE MOMENT SO WHO AM I TO JUDGE!!

I have an Albion K2 and I am 5'8" with long legs - 33"! I find that it fits me really well so I'm surprised by the previous comments. My last saddle was more of a GP and I did find that my knees went off the front with jumping length stirrups - that's why I got the K2

Can't comment on the K2 jump but I have an Albion Legend XC and would recommend it for long legged people, I'm not tall but have a long thigh and need a bit of room, it doesn't have the big knee rolls the K2 has and it has a more open seat if thats your preference. My OH is 6'1 and finds the Legend perfect for his long legs too!

I ride all my eventers in K2 jumpsaddles and have always been told they are good for long legged people! you can get bigger (mens) knee rolls if needed. Im very long hip to knee, they also dont take long to break in!

Another vote for the K2 jump from me - I'm 5'10 and feel v secure in it. I couldn't get enough room for my long legs in my GP and would thoroughly recommend the K2 jump saddle! Good luck!

I LOVE my albion k2 jump saddle, had one a couple of years ago for my old horse and sold it, always regretted it!! Got one recently for my new boy and i think its great keeps you really secure, im 5'6 with short legs!! :)

i am pretty sure my friend has a K2 and i am 5ft 10 with an inside leg of 34" and i find it so comfortable her saddle is 17.5" i will post a photo so you can see if it is the right one (excuse my rubbish riding)

I'm pretty certain that the photo is of the K2 GP not the K2 Jump which is more forward cut and has thigh rolls too. Might be wrong though!

it is definitely a jumping saddle as very forward cut. i'll see if i can find a better pic and it does have thigh rolls
