Have just had saddler out again because I wasn't happy with the Bates saddle he fitted previously.

We are now trying an Albion K2 Jumping saddle (2nd hand) which I prefer because its got flocking. I want to get a numnah for it and have seen that the Nuumed Hi Wither Half wool Jumping Numnah fits K2 saddles.

Would a large fit a 17" saddle?

Also - does anyone have a K2 and, if so, do you like them? Horses like them?

I've got a 17" K2 jump, and the large numed, half wool jumping saddlecloth fits perfectly. My saddler told me Numed designed that particular saddlecloth around the albion K2 jump saddle, and by the looks of it I agree, it fits the saddle perfectly.
I havn't been a fan of the albions in the past, but after my horse reacted very strongly against a flair saddle, my physio reccommended an alboin, and a really good fitter. I have had the saddle a month and i'm now an albion convert. I love it, and most importantly my horse seems happy, he has yet to buck me off, or rear over backwards in it, and is now jumping better than ever!!!!!

I use a medium hi wither numed on a 17 half" single flap jump saddle.

i borrowed a friends for an event once and have never looked back. I am sure the large will be fine though - I just did not want too much material in front or behind the saddle, because its hi wither you dont need the extra size to pull it up all the time. Just look out for whether the gusset of the pad is wool or not (ie the seem down the middle on the inside of it) I prefer the one without a woolen gusset. Also make sure you get the one with the small velcro straps (about an inch long roughly), they are really handy for clipping on the d rings of the saddle and do not get in your way.

good luck with the new saddle, am very jelous ;-)

Can't say anything about the numnah - but ( and this is a geniune question - not a pop at anyone!) why would you need that numnah if the saddle is fitted properly?

I have ended up with a K2 for my ISH - bought because it was one of the few proper jumping saddles that didn't impede his shoulder. In my case nothing else fitted (which included my last a lifetime jumping saddle!) only thing is that does quite a hard seat! but fits horse really well, doesn't move over anything!

I wanted half wool because I hunt three days a fortnight and would prefer a little bit more protection for the horse!!

Fingers crossed he stays happy in it.
