Yay Im finally getting somewhere in getting a new saddle sorted out :D

My saddle fitter came today in an attempt to try and find something for Autumn whos back resembles a flat table top so we have struggled in the past with the panels at the back laying flush.

Tried a few on which didnt even make it out to the arena until we were left with two to ride on. One was a harry dabbs (cant remember which one sorry!) and an Albion Platinum Ultima.

The Harry Dabbs felt 'ok' to ride in although I did feel it was tipping me forward slightly and felt a bit perched. Saddler wasnt quite happy with how it sat at the back - this was probably contributing as to why I felt like I was struggling a bit.

Put the Albion on and WOW! I felt like I was 'in' the saddle rather than on top, could sit up properly and easily and Autumn went beautifully. How have others found them? Sometimes I guess a 20 minute school round the arena isnt long to really suss them out but I felt like I loved it!

Now the online trawling of adverts begins because at 2k theres no way I can buy a new one :( booooo!!!!!!

I really like riding in them, great quality leather and also adjustable headplate.
I also happen to have one for sale.... PM if you're interested!

Got mine for my KS horse who absolutely must must have a great saddle. Bought it in 2007, still love it and because its adjustable, he has changed shape so much over the last 7yrs that they altered it 2 yrs ago to make it more narrow and yes it cost a few hundred pounds, but was a lot less than the new saddle he would otherwise have needed. So although expensive, it has been great value for money. My saddler says whatever horse he puts it on, it seems to fit and we tried about 20 other types and still came back to that being the best one.

Love mine. Unfortunately my old Albion from my Friesian didn't fit my new ISH so had to buy him a new one. It's so comfy and fits him brilliantly.

Roody2 could you pm me some details please. Tried to message you but I think the mobile app is playing up! Thanks :)

Ive sat in an equipe at a trade stand Kit-kat and it was heaven! Unfortunatly my saddler doesnt think the tree is flat enough for my girl. She has big shoulders but really is very flat and broad at the back of the saddle.

I have an SLK for one horse and a K2 for the other. They are both fabulous, but the SLK is just the best ever. I would have one for both, but the SLK is quite a long saddle and too big for my little mare, hence the K2 for her.

A quality saddle is an investment every way you look at it.
