Hi

I know it's tricky with second hand saddles as they will have moulded to previous horses, but would you think that if a horse currently has an Albion 17.5 W GP that you could buy a 17.5 w Albion dressage with a reasonable hope if having it fitted to him?

I had an Albion Selecta 17.5 M TB tree (second hand) that was a "reasonable fit" - and have just got a new Albion K2 Legend dressage which again is a 17.5 M if that helps :)

depends on the model, for example if you have a K2 GP and then buy the K2 Dressage then yes you should more or less be ok, but if you are in a K2 GP and get a SL or SLK then no, the fit is very different.

Yes have the k2 so would prob go for k2 again, unless local saddler had one of the others that she could see if fits. Problem is there aren't that many of them about second hand so will probably have to buy it myself then get her to fit, in which case probably safest to keep to k2 then. Do the different models ride very differently? Thanks

Yes they do, for example my horse was fitted in a M or MM in the K2 and then a MW in the SLK. Personally I love the SLK I have it in the ultima as it is a nice deep seat with big knee rolls and strangely it fits my ish but we couldn't fit him to the points on any of the K2s, GP or dressage. I would do a template of your horse in any case and it the measurements are similar they should be fine.
