I borrowed one of these to try on my horse, and wow, it was sooooooo comfy fro me, put me in a very easy position, and my horse worked fantastically, he had never lifted as much through his back till then.
All i can say is, if you can afford one then buy one, but too expensive to get wet with all the rain, so you may need an indoor school too!
I had one for 3 days! Dozzie was ok at first but the second time I used it she started to refuse point blank to move forward and began to rear! She had only bucked with uncomfy saddles up till then! (This was before we knew about the SI) So it went back
We dont really know why she hated it so much as it fitted beautifully. It may have changed my position, who knows! But the reaction was a tad obvious!
Bearing this in mind (re SI) I would advise you have someone to video if you try one. It feels fab but when I watched the vid you could see she wasnt that happy. Although I felt great! LOL! So it can be deceiving to the rider.
I bought it in preference to the WOW as it is so much more comfortable but Doz, as I said, hated it with avengeance!
I ended up with the Wow! Which she is usually happy with!
I have an Albion Platinum job, you know the horrendously expensively adjustable one, the only one that fits my horse!!!!!!!!!! I like it, I find the knee rolls a bit big but it is well cut and doesn't block my horse so he has a much better action, a worthwile buy although I wish it was cheaper, but we are both comfortable in it and able to hack out as well as dressage and do some small jumps!
I had one, bought it 2nd hand from a saddler and it fitted quite well on my horse, even had a saddler out to check it properly. It was comfortable but I found that it tipped me forward and I had to sit back. I dont normally have a problem with my seat but I was very aware when riding in the SLK. I part -ex`d it earlier on in the year. But I will say that I usually ride in jump saddles so it was quite different.
