Aldi - it's all your fault ...

Oh no.. you've got me doing it too now!

I completely forgot about their specialbuy until I read this.. and now I'm postponing OH's dinner so I can pop out and buy far too much stuff!! Don't what excuse I'm going to use this time! Gahh I wish aldi closed before 6!!

Tempting as it is, I ALWAYS REFUSE to by the bread-and-butter stuff of Tack Shops from Aldi or other special offer cheap shops. I much prefer to try to keep our last few remaining Saddleries/Tack Shops open. These basic items help keep them afloat. Where are you going to go for repairs, hat/body protecto fitting etc?

Well I went... Only one pair of boots left... N was too small :(
But u can never have enough jods, jumpers, padded jackets and socks
The hoody/jumper is lovely..
Even hubby was impressed :) xx

I am so pleased with my haul, sent my mum along this morning and she got 2 jods, yellow gilet and a pair of boots. (And a packet of ginger nuts for my cob) Might just wear the boots to work as I doubt they'll stand up to much proper use.

The jods are super comfy though, think they will be my new faves 😊😊

I've never bought from the Aldi equestrian stuff before but got some today and really pleased with quality :) Got jodhs, a hi-viz gilet, loads of socks and also a neckwarmer and thin gloves from the running range! Very happy :) Although no boots left in the Stalybridge shop by 11.30am. Not sure if they actually had had any in as couldn't see where they would have been!

I'm a bit irritated by Aldi tonight....

I was browsing the horsey stuff and picked up a fleece and some socks. Walked down the aisle and saw another fleece (but from their outdoor/hiking range) for 5 quid cheaper and "welly" socks (not "riding" socks but exactly the same) for almost 2 quid cheaper. I know it's still cheap but i'm disappointed that they, like everyone else, are marking things up because they are "equestrian".

Ha ha, I spent a small fortune at Aldi today. I did manage to get some boots but I don't know how long they'll last! I love my new kit though!

Didn't find any boots in my nearest store (Macclesfield). Did however get the hi-vis gilet, a pair of jods (they're alright for less than £15) and a fleecey top now that it's that time of year for layers!
I do prefer to buy my things from local tack shop but the odd Aldi purchase won't hurt :)

i'm keeping my fingers crossed that because we have only just got an Aldi people wont have caught on yet and there will be some stuff left Saturday the boots look nice and i could do with a hi viz gilet. My luck it will all be gone and I'll end up spending a fortune at Robinsons or the local tack shop lol. I might have to just turn up to work late the next time they do this.

Went to Aldis last night and was disappointed as no boots left in size 7 (only three pairs in size 6 which is WAY too small as i'm an 8!) and only one jumper went to size large :( I really wanted the stripey ones but they were only made in size small or medium. I'm tall so even if I lost a stone, they will be way too short, lol. Got some socks though but then was a bit annoyed that a little bit down the row, the long "welly" socks which are identical to the riding socks, were only £3.49!

I found this too!! Put the horsey socks back and picked up Welly socks instead £3.50 for a pack of 2 instead of £5...
I got in there on my way to work just after 8am and got a pair of boots, 2 pairs of jods, the base layer set (always get thermals from Aldi!) and welly socks... that's winter sorted :)

Does anyone know when they are stocking up on their hi viz exercise sheets and breast plates.

They were the best things I bought from Aldi. I have to exercise sheets which I have owned for about three years now, they are briliant.

Had to go on a world tour of Aldi last night (okay it was only two shops, as the first had nothing left in my sizes)

Managed to get two pairs of jods (the grey and the brown/black) and the country boots.

My old Aldi jods are some of the best and most hard wearing jods I have ever had and are still going strong after 2 years. All my much more expensive tack shop jods always seem to go at the seams after about 6 months. I'm hoping the new jods will be as good.

Went to ours today and they had so much left I got myself a Hi Viz and a couple pairs of socks my sister got hi viz socks and 3 pairs of jods which I am really tempted to go back and get now. I saw a pair of boots but they weren't my size and i didn't think they would last me very long
