ALDON directions advice please?

Just looked on AA routefinder and it is sending me up the A30, I would normally have come off the M5 and gone that way towards Illminster?
is the AA route the one to go or should I go further down the M5?
Route via A30 is 70 miles, I would have thought mine was shorter..

Coming back from you we went along the A30 to honiton - illminster and then onto the A303 into yeovil. was much quicker than the motorway (by about an hour).

PS when are your times, might be coming to watch tommorrow!
 
Def go on A30.
Once in Yeovil follow signs to th rugby club and you cant go wrong

Yep. Thats the way I alwasy go. The motorway is a bit of a long way round.

When will you be there HH? As its about 5 mins from my house, i will be popping alone at some point.
 
We always go M5 junction 25, then to Ilminster bypass, up A303, turn off at the picnic rounadabout towards yeovil, then head towards Dorchester (I think). I can tell you which way to turn at each roundabout going my way!?
 
Thanks folks, it will be the A30 route if it's quicker, times are 12.34 14.08 14.57.
He hasn't been ridden the last few days as C has been struck down by a virus, sick as a pig and dizzy all the time but as he's been pacing the field non stop s I doubt he will have lost any fitness whatsoever. (the same as being on a horse walker for five-six hours a day!)
Last event of the season, a bit sad really, and probably CCJ not feeling 100% but the aim is to do as well as possible but have fun too..
Anyone like a coffee come and find us, tiny lilacy/blue box with deep purple bottom.. (just look for the harrassed looking elderly woman running round it putting tapes on boots and generally dogsbodying
