Well after arriving with 3 shoes had one put on and was chatting away with julie Tew which was quite cool as she was also waiting for the farrier. Had an hour and 15minutes before dressage thought I might as well work in and boy my horse was relentless and just would not give in. Was very fizzy and full of it. So even after 1 hour he still thought he knew better. With my horse he either does a rotten test through tension and being rude or it is very good. So today it was crap. Got 40 and then another 2 as I went wrong - DOH!

Sj started well then we lost our rhythem on the turns and related distances so had 2 down - really weird jumping outdoors again. See contrary to S-J I thought it was really up to height. I saw the Novice ready for tomorrow and it did not look much bigger.
XC he was ace - I was thrilled by how he got on with the job and was so keen. Went clear which I was really pleased with and a few more PN and move up to Novice in May.

YAY well done Lec and Rodders

So pleased for you guys.

Great start to the season.

Just finished reading Eventing, see you won some carrots lol

Oh good boy!
Looks much more fluent than last October. Hunting has really helped him. He looks very fit too, and has that lovely gallop.

LOL my trainer was following you

I felt he was taking me rather than me kicking and saying go -I only hunted him 4 times and once he tried to kill me! Poor Myles needs to get better at filming xc!

I left him to get on with schooling as he has to go by himself without me telling him. Waterford worked great did have a small panic after fence 4 as had no control coming down that hill. But overall 10 times better than the pelham as he could take me in yet be set up as well. So glad I decided to brave it or I would have been screwed in a french link!

No you rode him in a rubber snaffle! That has now been relegated to the bit drawer except for roadwork. You prefer stinky old slow coach Jimmy!! Mind you R was a little [****] that day.

PMSL If you had held me against a wall I would have sworn he was in a waterford! OK I admit, I LOVED Jimmy, but I did enjoy Rodders too - he is a sprightly young thing and TBH he didn't put a foot wrong with me, you swopped at the right (for me) wrong (for you) time as we did all the road work then!

Oops replied to this thread in Sarah Janes Aldon thread by mistake!
Well done for going clear, he seems to find those fences so tiny!

He looks ace in the vid- found his rythym more. The going looks lovely, did it ride well?

I handed it in at 4.58.... hows that for timing

Enjoyed that vid, your camerman obviously suffers from the same affliction as me, take your eye off for a second and lose the horse!!
I thought that looked a really good start to the season, the slight hesitation at the water was immediately obeyed by going forwards, so that bodes well for the rest of the year. is this the horse that doesn't like water?
We can't wait to get going, Jonty is getting slowy fitter and should start in May, Chocs is fit and ready and even Diamond is doing occasional hacks.
Will look forward to watching you in the flesh so to speak! Well done.

That means you are now guilt free to play ponies! Well until the exams come up. Excellent timing and I cannot believe you have finally done it. Big pat on the back!!

We got a bit of a shock as I walked to the start box expecting 1 minute and they said 15 seconds so poor Myles had to run about as he was in the wrong spot!
This is the horse that thinks water is for avoiding - think he will carry on getting more confident.

Seriously, Rodney looked ace xc, looks ready to cope with something more difficult.

Thanks for the Video. My friend is up there today so not only was it nice watching you go cross country it was also nice to guess what she will be jumping today.
