Yes, that's right, I encountered some out and out friendliness at a BSJA show yesterday! I don't generally go to Overa but I was around yesterday so trotted along. Got a rosette too, which is always very nice.

The lady taking entries was so friendly and helpful (alarm bells were beginning to ring, was this really a BSJA show?!) and the collecting ring girl was very chatty, wishing me good luck (was she a XC starter in disguise?!) as I went in. I was duly greeted by "well done, lovely round" or "such bad luck" as appropriate, on my way back out! Whilst I was waiting for my round, I had enthusiastic comments from the collecting ring and spectators about my horse - in fact I felt somewhat rude as I was trying to keep moving so I kept walking off!

Someone's helper in the warm up moved out of my way as I yelped "upright!" at him, and then even asked if I had finished with it before he turned it into a x pole. The other competitors chatted a bit about their/my rounds and were generally very nice.

Good work Overa, that's how it should be!

TBH, most days out BSJA for me are pretty friendly - I always manage to make a 'friend' for the day in the warm up. I don't think I ever come away thinking people are moody at least - incompetent sometimes, but friendly nonetheless ;)

Glad you found it nice though, and got a rosette :)
