The first bales of winter haylage have arrived. Alf shoved his head in the box, as per usual, went to grab a mouthful - then realised it was haylage, not hay, and rested his nose on it for ages, just breathing in the smell.
He's a funny old thing.

He is such a dear. He's definitely mellowing as he ages -he even does cuddles now!
Still waits 10 mins and then bites me after I do anything he considers abusive - cartrophen injections/worming/other things designed to make his life better!
