George was being fed dengie healthy hooves and a balancer, but now we've moved I will be gradually moving him onto alfa a and balancer partly because this is one of the feeds included in the price and partly because the grass isn't as good and alfa a has more energy. But I also notice that the protein is much higher at 14% is this something I need to worry about?

Thanks

No its just more conditioning and slightly higher energy.

Beau is on topspec and normally gets hi fi original with it, but with the hay being lower nutritionally this year, he is going on alfa oil with his topspec instead.
This is the highest protein and energy of the range, but he is going to need the extra for condition.

Just keep an eye on his weight , but coming into winter I dont think you will have a problem.

I agree with the other two but can I slightly hijack your post rather than start a new one as it's the same subject and know you will want to know too?!
How much does anyone feed of any of the Alfa products at any one time? Is it a Stubb's scoopful, bucketful or what? (depending of size of horse I know) Do you always feed it damp/dry/soggy? Many thanks!

I have a 16.hh LW warmblood who needs plenty of feed going into the winter. He gets one scoop of stubb alfa a oil for dinner with Baileys No 4 and Baileys Outshine and for breakfast he gets 3/4 scoop of alfa a with Baileys No 4 and Outshine

I normally do dampen it down a bit before I feed.
