Hiya,

Have been recommended Alfa beet for my tb as he needs something extra just to maintain his weight now the grass isn't great. He gets ad lib hay day and night and has kept his weight on with just chaff and nuts so far. Historically has always hyped up on anything else so my rule is to keep it very simple.

just wondering what other peoples experience with it were? would you recommend it?

Hi I started using Alfa beet this winter for my TB after previously using speedi beet as my horse has a very sensitive gut ....what a difference!! It has been great, he has kept his weight on throughout the winter without any fizziness...i would probably say he is coming out of this winter looking the best he has coming out of any winter. I am very pleased and would thoroughly recommend it

. Kali didn't seem to love the taste but maybe he just needs to get used to it- he better not get fussy now!

Hi yes. I use it sometimes. I find my WBxTB gets extremely hot and unreasonable on molassed beet so switched to Alfa Beet last winter. It soaks really quickly, is palatable and best of all - doesn't send them nutty. I'd recommend giving it a try at this time of year if you're looking for something non-heating and conditioning.

Have used it now for the last two winters on my Knabstrupper, He also hots up on traditional sugarbeet. Have had no issues with this and hes looking great. Is also fed just chaff and nuts plus a sieve of alpha beet and hay with small amount of hayledge. Found this combo keeps him looking good without turning into a rodeo machine
