Haven't posted a report in ages but here goes!!
I had to take my dressage trophy back this morning as Alfie and I had won an amateur champs at a local show centre last September. The centre were running unaff dressage on and being cheeky i asked if they would take a late entry for Alfie and I in the elementary.
Now Alfie & I have never done an elementary test before and haven't done any BD in about a year so to say we are a little rusty is an understatement. I got there and Alfie was rather sharp and excited but warmed up well in his new dressage saddle. He got a little worried and excited when a horse got a little close in the warm up but apart from that he was impeccably behaved We went in and did our test and although it didn't feel like the best test we had ever done, it felt fairly good. Think i overcooked him in the warmup if im honest and he was a little tired. Loaded Alfie up and took him home, when we went back for our results later we found out he had come 3rd with 64.8%
Im so proud and pleased with my little man and can't wait to move upto Elementary BD this autumn. Thanks for reading!!
