So, slight change of plan!

He has assured me that he is not lame, he's not old, and that there is much life in the old dog yet.

He is fat, hairy, unfit, and unshod, but he just boinged his way round the block at such speed that his companion had to trot all the way to keep up. He had a very naughty expression on his face, and said that he MIGHT run away with me up the bridlepath.

I had a funny feeling he would be telling you retirement wasn't in his immediate plans.

He looks brill. (& not as yeti-like as my beastie.)

Yours is SUPPOSED to look like a native pony though. Alf absolutely isn't! I've charged the trimmers up - if nothing else, he's losing the beard and the feathers tomorrow!

Glad Alf is so active l try & ride my old girl asap but not had much chance as l’ve been doing more poo picking than riding due to the awful weather we’ve had this winter.
