Alice reins. anyone??

II have rhuematoid arthritis and have problems with gripping the reins.
Does anyone use these or know anyone that does?

What do you think of them? Im unsure of the idea

Forgive me, it is something I know nothing about, but Sophie Wells rides with something very similar. I thought you could get loops that attach onto normal reins which may be more adjustable. Sounds like anything like that would be a good idea for you.

This is what I replied in Tackroom: One of my RDA riders who was born without fingers on one hand uses them and they are great for her. She can adjust the length of her rein by just swapping loops quickly and as a result her contact is now much more consistent. They came with just one rein with loops but as I didn't order them I don't know if that's standard or not. The lady that designed them was very helpful so it might be worth talking to her, she wrote a personal note to our RDA chairman and her daughter Alice wrote a note to our rider which was a lovely touch.

Just to add she used the Mulryan looped rein before we got the Alice reins but found she needed more loops as her riding progressed and needed to lengthen and shorten her reins for different things so the Alice rein gave her the option to do this.

Thank you very much. I find similar problems with rein bows nor having enough adjustment. As standard they both come looped
