Not sure if others have seen this, but a video has emerged of Alicia Dickinson of "your riding success" riding a horse who'd apparently been out of work for a long period very harshly. The horse bucks multiple times, and kicks out to the point of causing $1000s of damage to the indoor arena. At the end of the video, you can hear someone say "don't tell people I ride horses like that"- Allegedly, this is Alicia.

Allegedly, Alicia is the person who can be heard laughing in the background of the CDJ video.

Video here:

It feels like this sort of treatment of horses is endemic in dressage, and young, inexperienced owners and riders don't feel able to speak out and stop the session whilst it's happening. I feel very sorry for the horse involved who's clearly very unhappy and uncomfortable, and is being repeatedly punished for expressing this.

I get that totally, it's not a pleasant watch.
Its actually so disappointing! You spend time watching their videos etc taking pointers and tips from them and they treat their horses like cnuts ? Honestly, its actually so sad 😢

I used to be really keen on dressage but I started going off it a few years ago as even at best it feels like you are constantly drilling the horse every time you school it and that’s before you add the forcefulness and sometimes violence individuals add to it. This feels especially so the higher level you train at. Not that I’m a great rider I hasten to add.

I think schooling maybe up to elementary is useful for every day riding and strengthening but beyond that at least if you have competitive ambition it feels like a punishment for the horse. I do still do some low-level stuff as a well schooled horse is more pleasing to ride and it gives me a goal, but prefer to mix it up with a range of stuff.

Evil idiot. What was she trying to achieve there? The horse had been out of work, shouldn't have done a fraction of all that canter work in the arena that she did. Poor sod was struggling quite clearly.

I understand owner is upset but I'm afraid it wouldn't be me standing in the middle of the arena like a lemon while that was happening.

This. I have stopped a well known trainer who was not riding my old horse ethically and asked them to get off.
A lot off mutterings from the local equine community but I didn’t care.

What is she trying to actually achieve? Does she think?

I don’t understand why, given the owner is crying at the end, did she (the owner) not tell this shiny helmet twit to knob off as she watched her horse, worth many thousands of dollars and a lot more to her personally (I assume)?

Av honestly never seen her with blonde hair lol always been dark when I have met her all good thought I believe you
It looks like her hair is naturally dark, but there's lots of photos and videos where it's dyed various shades of blonde, including almost white blonde. I guess there's always a chance it's not her, but it sounds like at least two people were involved in the video, plus the owner of the arena?

I used to watch some of theur videos when I got back into horses a few years ago. Looking back, they're both quite creepy. Someone called Bernie Saunders (or Berni) has posted about them on Facebook. They're not just cruel to horses, apparently, they're cruel to people as well, conning aspiring equestrian out of a lot of money. And now they're trying to break America. Hope they fail.

That’s is imo abusive riding of a horse who is supposed to be coming back to work but we don’t know why if he was out of work for a reason like lameness or problems with performance your first thought should have been is he right because that sort of riding just forces horses through pain and damages their desire to try .
It’s just wrong .
