Now I have remembered how to spell definitive that is :p

Details required by TE are number of people, number of dogs, number of people/dogs staying, what time we are arriving, are we eating/BBQing....

So I will start...

One person (me :))

Three greyhounds

Not staying due to lack of tent!

Dont mind what time we meet up

Yes, would very much like a BBQ as I never have one - BBQs for one are silly :D

PS - I think that if you add to this list you should be planning to turn up, unless there are unforseen circumstances of course :)

REALLY wanna come!!! But it's my OH's bday and our wedding anniverary (he'll never forget it! ;) ) So really can't!! Boo!!! :( :( :(

Just me

One mad wolfydog

Not staying as my own comfy bed is twenty minutes away

Can arrive at any time, depends how hot it is really, if it's super scorching might have to wait until the evening as madam is rubbish in the heat

Happy to bring food and drink, would anybody care to make a list so we don't end up with twenty pasta salads? :p

Erm... I have a couple of rickety folding chairs somewhere, not sure I have anything else useful to offer. Jug of Pimms, perhaps. Strawberries? :D

Please note that I am completely socially inept and will struggle to remember anyone's names, despite having many as Facebook friends. :o What will the protocol for dogs be? Madam has to be on-lead at all times, I have horrible visions of her running out on the long line and clotheslining people/barbecues/spaniels. :p

Just me, plus one dog.
Not staying because like BC my own bed is nearby :D
Am happy to bring food either for my own consumption or to add to bbq.
Re dog protocol, I think it is only fair that dogs are kept on lead rather than risk scaring any of TE's "patients".
I probably won't be able to get there till early evening as I work on a Saturday.

I agree, dogs on leads sounds much the best idea :)

I could get there about 5pm, how about we aim to arrive late afternoon/early evening??? Then we can chat, put the BBQ on, and chat some more :):)

As mentioned, I can't go, and TE will probably say 'no fuggin way are you churning up my grounds!' but could people maybe bring a tie-out stake each? One of the corkscrew types with a spring attachment. I always have one in the car in case I need to tie the dog(s) out.
Of course TE is welcome to veto that!!!

Do those stakes actually work well or is a spangle-eating husky just going to sproiiiiing it out of the ground? :p Then again she's used to coming everywhere with me now and sits quietly in the pub so once she's gotten over greeting everyone she should set up camp under my chair like normal.

Famous last words.

LMAO - Can you just imagine it - LOL. Trying to eat and drink and hold three dogs straining at the lead! Although I am only going to bring Flyn!

But actually, I think I am going to pull out - its an awfully long way to go for one evening and it would be desperately boring for Flyn if he had to stay on the lead the whole time. Plus the cost of diesel at the moment makes it hardly justifiable :(

Please all take your cameras, I hope you have a lovely time and look forward to all the pictures :)

Its your decision of course Ravenwood but would be lovely to meet you, dogs are welcome to have a thrash round my field. I just sugggested leads on at TEs as she has some valuable horses.
Gazey, did I not offer you my floor, because you are certainly welcome to it. I will lock the cats up so they don't become skinny dogs breakfast.:D

That would be fab MM, 2 hours is not that far but far enough if you see what I mean? Are you absolutely sure about the cats though, Islay really does hate them passionately and I just would hate for anything to happen....:o:o:o

Dogs wise - yes to the cork screw stake things. Plus there is post and rail fencing that anything can be tied to. Although if dogs are getting on ok there is no reason they can't be loose. Plus if hot and any dogs fancy it they can also go for a swim in the river (only about 10' wide and a few feet deep in places).

Horse wise - all the clients horses will be in and only mine out and they are used to dogs.

But one other thought, and I am more than happy still to host, but if quite a few people are staying at MMs would it not be better to bbq in her field? Not much further on from me and if the majority are staying there then it seems silly for everyone to drive to me to then drive back to MMs?

As I said I am still more than happy to host and am not trying to put pressure on MM so will just go with the flow!

You know that sort of crossed my mind too, or more to the point the fact those coming to me would have to stay sober for the drive. I have no problem with things moving to mine, although TE's place is really worth seeing, and I am already panicking about the state of my place, think living on a budget :p. If it did move to me you would come wouldn't you TE ?
Anyway I too am happy to go with the majority, although sadly I can't offer a river.:(

Just me and one dog (probably the JRT as it will do him good to socialise, he hasn't barked at another dog in a year so here's to hoping!).

Not staying over as I live very close (PM me if you need somewhere to stay), happy to bring food/drink - let me know what is needed.

I would love to come and meet you all, would be me plus both dogs :)

Only thing is it would be too far to drive back that night and would be nice to have a little drinky. Would I be o.k to pitch a tent still as it doesn't sound like many of you guys are camping/staying now? :(

I'll be loaded with goodies too so no worries on that front ;)

I am thinking it would be easier for everyone if we still go to TE's (not least for you MM!:)) partly 'cos I am nosy and would love to see TE's place close up!! ;):D

I have a tent and am happy to camp - Spudlet is of course welcome to kip at yours:) - I'll still give her a lift!!:D

Anyone who does not have or not fancy a tent is MOST welcome to come stay at my place. I am only 20-30mins from TE and we have 5 spare bedrooms and plenty of room for extra dogs!

Please may I reserve a space on someone's floor for me and the greyhounds as I dont have a tent :) Cats WOULD need to be locked away though....:o:o:o

My floor is still available, you may not be able to sleep though for the noise of complaining cats.:D LOL, they are shut in at night anyway so no problem.

In fact if the others are staying at TE you may get a bed.
