All advice needed - our first eventers challenge

Hi. Well, we have done a bit of dressage, lots of showing and a little show-jumping so onwards and upwards towards our first eventing competition. Dead nervous, have no idea what to expect, please give us all your advice thank you in advance.

Make sure know the cross country course which side of the flag to jump, and what colour to look for. Fairly common for people to be eliminated for jumping the wrong jump or missing one out! If your using same tack it has been known for people to be eliminated for having martingale stops on the reins in dressage (mean but true) Don't forget you can't have a caller or crop or boots if run to BE rules. Medical card, number bib passport (take it with you when picking up number), XC hat to be checked and tagged (secretaries again). Try and find out where the photographer is so you know when to smile AND....enjoy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
