I am feeling a bit low today (horses!!), thought i might treat myself to something this weekend on eBay (i love it) - What good horsey bargains have you got from eBay recently - please share!

I buy lots of horsey stuff on ebay and have had loads of good bargains, but the best ever was an adjustable hunting breastplate for a pony - at least, it was adjustable in the description and in the photos, but when it arrived it wasn't :(

So I sent a message to the seller, who posted out the right one straight away, and said I could keep the other one as well :D

Not so much of a cheap bargain...but I got a lovely Albion Kontrol jumping saddle for £500, and brand new they are just over £1000! I think if you want a bargain though, you have really got to search for them on ebay, as I don't think theyre are as many bargains on there anymore!

Ive just bagged myself a gorgeous rug £42 including postage for a heavyweight rug with neck in 1800D :D Keep looking for some more

Lots recently

White polo bandages £5
Blue saddle cloth £12
Velvet saddle cloth £13
Bling browband £6
Another swarkovski browband £12
French link snaffle £6

Also got my eye on stubben saddle currently at £255, stable rugs at £35 and pessoa copy at £15

Also few other bits non horsey so won't bore anyone

I got an UNbargain recently when I bought a saddle described as in "very good" condition and it turned up faded, creased all over with dents and marks and god knows what all over it. Trying to get my ££ back through paypal but the seller is a smart cookie and keeps banging on about how it was sold as "used" and therefore she can't be liable for any inaccuracies in the description.

I know what used means, thanks very much! anyway, will see about the case next week I guess.

Sorry for hijacking your thread with my ranty tale of woe!!

I recently got - screwed!!!!!!!!
Someone advertised a blue thermatex 6'. I won, paid by paypal and never heard from them again. I have an open case against them.

You will be fine Rotchana - the onus is on the seller to retain proof of postage which, if they haven't provided, they clearly didn't. Paypal will rule in your favour and you'll get your ££ back, I'm sure :)

Yes thats the great thing about Ebay if you pay by pay pal. Their dispute resolution is brill. I've used it a couple of times....

Just bought a load of horsey books at a fraction of the cost of buying new and they're in great condition.

Recently got a heavyweight rug including postage for just under 40 quid and it doesn't look like a mini skirt on my heavyweight ID. (They often do!)

Got a treeless leather saddle, although advertised as 2nd hand it looked mint, not a mark on it and was a third of the cost of buying new.

Lots of bargain small items: bits, irons, leathers, saddle pads.

Only had one thing go wrong which was a colourful saddle pad. It wasn't a saddle pad at all but a pad from the bottom of a large dog bed!!

Hehehehe!! Thats the sort of thing that happens to me....large dog bed indeed!!

I have also been screwed over a pelham bit I purchased about a month ago, seller never replied to emails, and I still haven't got the item. I have opened a dispute but have heard nothing of it so far.

Other than that I get everything off ebay, last good deal was 4 BN pink polo fleece bandages for £5 inc. p&p
Have also got some really good deals - Jods, whips, a riding hat. All new/VGC for under a tenner post included :)

Other than that just the normal, headcollars, rugs, fly stuff etc. I am wary of ebay now though after this whole kafuffle over my bit :(

Ive had loads of ebay bargains. Thorowgood saddle good condition £10, Thorowgood Griffin (think its called ) saddle £36. But the worst that i have had is a vulcanite pelham used condtion, was fine till my horse wanted to gallop so i held him back. The bit snapped and i was left with a rein in each hand and no bit to stop my horse! I fell off got concussed and my horse galloped all the way home across busy roads back to the yard with out me. Lesson is never buy vulcanite bits off ebay
