Yes but there are some serious challengers although I'm disappointed with the number/quality of entries....Due to boekelo ? or due to the fact that it is Pau first go at 4* ????

people are never brave the first time an event up grades. look at luhlemulen and blair when it went up to a 3* x

well it will be interesting to see if having a 4* on home soil changes French team tactics in the future. They tend atm to produce their horses at 3* for the championships. This was the case with the Germans too 'til a couple of years ago, which also coinsided with the introduction of luhlemulen
