All I want for Christmas....

A horse. More specifically, a horse between 15h and 15.3, which is a nice person, travels well, loads well, hacks nicely, and will, in time, event to about CCI* level. I'd also like to not pay half my annual salary for it ;) I feel this could well be a job for Santa!!

Somehow I always assumed you'd be a big horse person

Some showjumping lessons are sorely needed from Santa and would be hugely appreciated by me, not sure about the horse. If Santa was feeling hugely generous some lunge lessons would be great as well! :)

I'm thinking of asking for lessons too. Am umming and awwing over it

Somebody to kit me out for dressage!

I still need white breeches, a bling belt, stock shirt, stock and pin. A navy Ayr8,And some nicer gaiters.

I haven't forgotten. I'm going to post on Monday. Well I had forgotten but I've remembered now! Does that make me santa?

My list was really long actually. New breeches, new hat ( after the 4 star charles owen), socks, gloves, a saddle (unlikely), new XC colours, and loads more I've forgotten about!!

Absolutely nowt! It's my birthday next Saturday and there's nothing I want for that either. I have absolutely everything I could possibly want.
I'm sure I could find stuff to buy, but it would be just to spend money, so I'm happy with nothing! :D

A little bit of hard standing (just enough to stand all of the ponies on), a little bit of shelter to stand 3 ponies under if it's raining, electricity!!!!

i always ask for the same thing every year but i can't afford it. a horse:(
but i have just got a beautiful loan horse so it doesn't really bother me because i treat him like my own:D <3

also a champion ventair hat because i look like one of them old fashioned policemen with the really tall hats in my riding hat :D

Some brown De Niro boots the same as my black ones.

Loads of other bits and bobs, but in reality I'm impatient so will prob end up buying it all for myself before Xmas :)

Already managed to scrape together the money to buy myself some Ariat Grasmeres (dream come true!).

So apart from a horse (come on Santa!) not sure what to ask for as my loan has just gone back home, so I can't ask for rugs and stuff.

Maybe a waxed riding jacket? Or a hat... I've got 3 and counting, but for some reason I can never have enough... :o

Mainly I want to get into showing but that's a bit impossible atm with no horsey!

New Airowear outlyn bp (which is currently sitting behind the till at the tack shop waiting for my OH to pick it up :D)

Pair of Toggi canyon boots, a new horze dressage shirt & new XC colours :)

Ermmm,

I've kinda already had my present! as it was my clippers which i desperately needed.

If i hadnt had them bought for me i would have liked:

2 x leather headcollars for shows
1 x stripy newmarket rug for shows

I also need/want:

1 x studgirth - would love a matching stubben but at £250 might have to settle for the Equiport one I just saw on the other thread!!
1 x le mieux half pad (so they have one each even though its totally unnecessary!)
2 x full set of veredus jumping boots in black
Some more numnahs/ear sets for at home/shows (don't actually need these just want more matchy for my little string of 2!!)
Ooh I really need travel boots for one of mine to match her travel rug.
2 x heavyweight and 2 x light/middleweight combo stable rugs
1 x lightweight combo turnout
Several items of clothing from
Kingsland, animo, eurostar, gersemi, spooks etc etc

If i'm being completely unrealistic:

A 6.5 tonne lorry or a 7.5 tonne and my lorry license!!
2 x prestige saddles and all the trimmings
A house with land stables and a manege (plus an indoor would be fab too :-))
Enough money to play ponies forever without working as well as enough to stop my family from needing to work too!!

(not quite sure why i keep adding to the collection of stuff 'for shows' when i can't seem to force
Myself to go! But at least i know they'll look cracking either way!)

Either Adrian my EPSM ISH to improve enough on high oil + DMG powder to compete again or to find and fix whatever's wrong with Trev so he can compete again. Or for my old mare's next b'day to magically be 4 instead of 40 so she can compete again... Anyone seeing a theme here...??

I want some ariat volant trainers and chaps and a mountain horse grace coat, but there is no earthly point while I'm barely riding!

T x

Ha! We are all about the same height - ie. short! ;)

Next time SC comes to visit I must introduce you two. :)

I was about to say I'm almost exactly the same as you too! I went to see BH the other night and though 'holy moly, you're really quite big' and that's all 15.3 of him. I bet your Dun pony looks enormous by now!!

If I get reincarnated I'm coming back as a tall person with lovely long legs!

More time to enjoy my horse. Work is so full on and it pays for the ponies, so cant really grumble, but I would just so love to work a few less days or hours so I can spend some time with him. He is 20 next year, and I am so conscious of the passing of the time we have left together ......... Sorry, got a bit emotional, he has everything he needs, in fact is really spoilt, I would just love more time. Santa, can you fix it for me?

After much deliberation my christmas wish list is:

Full set of matching Equiport show rugs for each horse
All the matching ring bags, boot bags etc for me
and for good measure lets say the bandage carrier, rug rack and stable drapes plus a matching directors chair.

All pure indulgence as there is absolutely nothing wrong with my current show rugs!

Ha. I got the catalogue whilst at work on Friday and I really struggled to keep my credit card in my purse!

It's not all it's cracked up to be.....

Really? Why? In my mind I have this vision of having lovely long legs and being able to really gather my horse up and ride rather than being perched on top. Never mind being like a supermodel and some F1 driver wanting to marry me :D

Funnily enough I was just thinking the same thing! Limits the horses you can ride, makes getting boots long enough difficult etc etc!

And your husband bans you from heels to your own wedding so you dont tower over him  dont know how the supermodels get away with it :D
Oh, and outgrowing your wonderful 14h pony when you were 11

A totally brilliant Kiwi summer, so I can enjoy my first decent holiday in several years.

Perfection is being able to ride early and then spend the rest of the day at the beach.

Not to mention that F1 drivers are short and was gutted to find out Daniel Craig is only 5'10" !

I would also note that if you have long legs, you will always have frayed cuffs on your jeans because you have to let them down so they are along enough.

And, you will also have long arms to match and sleeves will always be too short.

You will also get hit on by creepy short men, who are eye level with your boobs, but that's a whole 'nother discussion.

Realistically - Show rug & travel boots, open fronts and some horsey clothing. I've spent a fortune on bratpony this last month, time for someone else to foot the bill ;)

In my dreams... a trailer and a 4x4. Really I'd settle for the trailer if I had to choose :P

As a chin up, my lovely old TB got to 27 before age got him, competing at 2'6+ and being an utter tit :D I'd quite like him back, actually.

I would love to go XC schooling. And have all the stuff I need to know for my exams put in my brain :D

All those with long legs bemoaning them, kindly go away :D At a spectacularly stumpy 5'1 (I've shrunk, used to be 5'2... Gutted.) I envy my sister's long legs endlessly. She's not even that tall (5'6?) but her legs come to my ribcage and she looks elegant and sophisticated on her equally lanky TB. I look Thelwellian on virtually anything...

Quite boringly, a new hat! :p

Pony has all the kit for competing, except we haven't been anywhere in nearly 2 years, he even has an albion bridle with bling browband thats never seen any coloured poles - fingers crossed for the NY - for xmas I REALLY want a sound horse for 2013 and BS membership :)

Well in reality I am getting my tattoo extended from my mom (epic mom) and a new laptop from my dad to get my dissertation done as my current one CBA anymore!

Dreamlist....

Walker
Hot horse shower
Few more heavy poles for jumping
A massage pad for the horses

I am actually happy with what I have :)
